Dentist Drama

Took Sammy to the dentist for the 100th time (well, it feels like the 100th time) this month to get cavities filled. The first time was a regular checkup, the second was to fill the cavities but Sam had a meltdown and had to reschedule. Then he only did one that time cause he didn't want to traumatize him. I mean, I do agree with his rationalization but going every week is a pain in the ass for me! Now, after yesterday's trip, he has an abscess on one of his tooth's that is loose and a baby tooth to boot, and we have to go see an oral surgeon to have it pulled. This is the same surgeon that pulled another one and we had to "knock" Sam out and I do have to admit the outcome was funny...he was my little drunken midget!!! Hopefully the tooth will come out on its own in the meantime......

The elves are busy....

There is neverending wrapping to be done, cookies to be baked, clothes to be ironed...there are not enough hours in the day. Especially if you are a 46 year old woman going thru menopause and like to be in bed at 8:30.........

Another article....

This is an article that was in The Berkshire Eagle.

Mount Greylock

Coach: Ray Miro (20th year)

Key returnees: Zach Larabee, Sr. (140), Jay Krutiak, Sr. (145), Josh Hadley, Jr. (130), Colin Dezess, Sr. (215), Zach Bantle, Jr. (171), Dylan Hilchey, Jr. (125), Sean O'Connor, Jr. (140), Dylan Walker, Jr. (152), Anthony Carvalho, Jr. (189), Travis Hilchey, eighth grade (103), Ross Jackson, So. (160), Mitch Graves, So. (145)

Key newcomers: Tom Dezess, Fr. (285), C.J. Lillie, Fr. (119), Ian Shaw, Fr. (125), Connor Hadley, eighth grade (152), Jose Alvarez, Sr. (189), Allison Crews, So. (112)

Three things you should know:

Five of the returnees -- Bantle, Hadley, Dylan Hilchey, Larabee and Walker -- were state qualifiers a year ago. Senior Nicole Clement, Hadley, Krutiak and Larabee will serve as team captains, though Clement will likely miss the season due to a knee injury.

Hadley, Dylan Hilchey and Larabee were second-place finishers at last year's Western Mass. meet. They, along with some newcomers, will be looked upon to pick up where graduation losses Sean Derby-Kilfoyle, Eli Coniglio and John Carvalho left off.

"We knew we had to replace some of them, and one of them was going to be Ross Jackson," Miro said. "He's pretty good. He needs to get battle-tested, because he's been staying behind. He's got tremendous length and leverage."

Though Travis Hilchey is just an eighth grader, he's already a second-year varsity starter at 103. He went 16-10 last season for the Mounties.

SHEFFIELD -- Mount Greylock improved to 4-0 in duals this season, winning their first county dual 60-15 over a young Mount Everett squad.
Travis Hilchey (103 pounds), Sean O’Connor (135), Zach Larabee (140), Ross Jackson (160) and Jose Alvarez (215) earned pinfall victories in the dual.

"We got our feet wet and got everybody a chance to wrestle," Greylock coach Ray Miro said. "We came in and had our feet on the ground."

Bradley Lupiani (112) and Kyle Legeyt (189) had the Eagles’ (0-1) non-forfeit wins. Lupiani pinned Allison Crews in 3 minutes, 12 seconds, while Legeyt beat Anthony Carvalho in a 6-3 decision.

"They hung tough," Everett assistant coach Dan Lanoue said. "Bradley wrestled well. We bumped him up; he’s normally 103. Seamus and [Dylan] Hilchey, that was a good match. Hilchey just controlled him the whole match.
"Good win for Kyle, coming down a weight class from last year. [In the] first match of the year, he got a little winded."

The Mounties wrestle eight duals at the two-day Cohoes, N.Y. Duals on Friday and Saturday.

The announcement for admissions at Wesleyan are coming out today at 3:00. I woke up all jittery, like Christmas morning. Well, I was deflated quickly. Coach Black called at 7:30. My palms got sweaty and there was a squeak in my voice.....he didn't make early decision. All because of a fucking "C" he got in AP History. How do you keep telling a kid that he has to make this senior year count, too?? He just won't listen to us! Maybe this will be a wake up call for him. Coach Black said he set him up for Early Decision 2 and all he has to do is get his c up to a b and he is in.....the ball is in your court Zak......

Feeling sentimental....

With my hormones all over the place lately it is hard to wonder why my family hasn't kicked me out of the house yet! But the one thing that is happening is I cry. I cry alot. I think about life in general, I cry. I think about my dog and his health (which by the way he is doing great), I cry. But the biggest thing I cry over these days is Zak. He is my first born and he is all grown up now. I'm crying as I type this.....I remember a time when he needed me. When he wanted to spend time with us, when I couldn't wait for the day he would grow up and be independent. Well, that day is here and I can't take it.......

I want life to be like this again....

I want my baby back.............
