A smile for your day

A salesman goes up to a house and knocks on the front door. It's opened by a little fifteen year-old boy who has a lighted cigar in one hand, a glass of whiskey in the other and a Penthouse magazine tucked under his arm.

Salesman: "Hello son. Is your mom or dad home?"

Little boy: "What the fuck do you think?"

Quote of the day

Keeping score of old scores and scars, getting even and one-upping, always make you less than you are.
Malcolm Forbes

I need to practice this cause I am bad about "getting even".

The Fruit of my Labor

If anyone knows me, I have a big,Brown thumb. Well when we were picking out flowers this spring, I saw these little cherry tomato plants and told Chris I wanted to try and grow some. What the hell, it was cheap and we had a feeling I would fail anyway but we said let's DO IT (in Ben Stillers Starsky voice, if you haven't seen Starsky and Hutch, rent it....). And Looky what "mamma" has created!! And I might add it was delish on our famous Chicken Nachos!

Happy 4th Birthday my love!!!!

We almost lost you but we are blessed with another year of our favorite family member!!! We love you Jackson!

After a horrible week of games.....

Mike Lowell steps up his game!!! Youk got ejected because there was a brawl, and although it was not his fault, he got hit by the pitcher twice! we see that he may need to go back to anger management class, at least he may learn not to throw his helmet like a pussy.

Bonfire

So, we recently sold our Pirate ship and we didn't know what to do with the space it was in. Well, we are turning it into a fire pit. We have no furniture as of yet but we had our first run at a bonfire and smores last night! And guess who fell asleep by the fire...yup, me....it was nice while it lasted......

A little lesson on recycling

Here's a little something to help you put the current economic situation into perspective:

- If you had purchased $1,000. of AIG stock one year ago, you would have $42 left. With Lehman Brothers, you would have $6.60 left. With Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, you would have less than $5.00 left.

BUT - if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all of the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling Refund, you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called The 401-Keg.

Yummy!

Chris went fishing the other night and the kids and I were bored so Sam helped me make these "pudding Cookies". He chose to put in the white chocolate chips. They were yummy but a little on the sweet side, but I say what the hell, a cookie needs a little "sweet".....and I also "halved" the recipe cause I like a good cookie but my body, not so much..........

Ingredients:
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 t. baking soda
1-1/2 c butter (3 sticks) softened
1-1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. white sugar
2 (3.4 oz.) pkgs. instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs, room temp
2 t. vanilla extract
4 c. of add-ins you want to use like chocolate/butterscotch/peanut butter/white chocolate chips, candy bars, m&m's, nuts, etc.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together flour and baking soda in seperate bowl and set aside; in a large bowl, cream butter, brown and white sugar. Beat in pudding mix until well blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. When smooth, slowly add in the flour mixture. This can take a little while, but make sure it's well incorporated into mix.

Finally, add the "fillers". Make 1 inch balls. Line your cookie sheets with parchment paper and bake for 8-12 minutes or until golden.

Makes about 8 dozen
