Hurricane Katrina

What a nightmare! It hit New Orleans this morning and I've been glued to the tv all morning. They have 9,000 people in the SuperDome and part of the roof is falling in! I hope this doesn't turn out to be a horrible disaster.

They say that because New Orleans is below sea level that it could get contaminated water, caskets floating by and massive, massive flooding. My fingers are crossed.

Well baseball is over and we are on to the next sport! Football! And even my cuddlebug is playing! They have practice every night for 2 hours and he hasn't complained...yet! I think he likes it!
The end of the summer is near (yeah)!! and we did a little school shopping and I just have to get the supplies now. I cannot wait until Sept. 1st! Is that wrong? ha!

Sad news

Peter Jennings has died. He announced he had lung cancer in April. It seems like it happened so fast. This disease is incredible. Please let there be a cure soon.

Our mini vacation...

We stayed at The Plymouth Sands and our room had a balcony that overlooked the ocean.

We had a good time. The houses in Plymouth are beautiful. I have always liked the look of the little beach cottages but these were Beach Mansions! The weather cooperated with us and we spent alot of time at the beach and pool.
Only two accidents. Sam fell out of bed the first night, oops. And Christopher dropped a huge rock on his toe at the beach so Chris had to go get the lifeguard cause we neede tweezers to get out a tiny piece of stone that got into his foot. Fun for everybody.

On the way home, we stopped at a service area to get lunch and bathroom breaks and who did we see? Michael and Barbara! What a small world. They were on their way home from Maine. It amazes me that things like this happen. It's a crazy world.
