Wow. just wow.

Woke up this morning to find out Chris's car was STOLEN from our driveway! What the hell is going on in this town!!! Now I feel violated and have all the doors locked and feel like a prisoner in my own home!!!

Phone call

Mary called. She was high on morphine. She was laughing. All is good.

Friendship, surgery and love....

As if losing your mother, both brothers and husband wasn't enough, my best friend had brain surgery for a tumor yesterday.....I have always said, she must be the strongest person in the world cause this momma would crumble to the ground. As of last night I got an update from her daughter and the 7 hou long surgery went well and she is expected to be fine.......I know it was a long day for me, I can only imagine how Ron and Lauren felt.......praying for my girl.....

Yea! February has ended! It was a tough one....no computer, Zak struggling with his wrestling, Sam has had major attitude adjustments, struggling with budget and weight issues, so glad it is over! On to a new month, new attitudes and kicking ass! March...Bring it on!!!

My computer shit the bed....Nice, no backup for my pictures or files. I guess that will teach my lazy, procrastinating ass.

My 2013 Resolution.

My resolution for this year is to Live in THIS moment. I'm not going to worry about the past, cannot change it. I'm not going to worry about the future, it will happen no matter what, I am just going to enjoy this moment to its fullest ♥

It was a Happy Thanksgiving.

My life is full.....

On the first day of term, a university professor stood in front of his philosophy class with an empty jar.

Without saying a word to his students, he removed the lid of the jar and filled it with golf balls. When no more golf balls fit he closed the jar with its lid. He then asked his class, “Would you say that the jar is now full?” His students observed the jar and concluded that the jar was indeed full.

The professor then proceeded to open the jar up and started inserting marbles into the jar. The marbles started to fill the gaps between the golf balls. After sealing the jar, he asked his class once again if they thought the jar was now full. The class concluded that the jar was indeed now full.

The professor opened the jar a third time and started pouring in sand. Obviously, the sand started filling the gaps between the golf balls and the marbles. He then sealed the jar and asked his class a third time if the jar was full. His class chuckled and replied in unison, “Yes, it is now full!”

The professor opened the jar and emptied two beers in the jar. The liquid had completely filled the gap between the golf balls, the marbles, and the grains of sand. He then began his lecture.

“I hope you realise that life is very much like this jar. The golf balls represent the important things in life, like family, loved ones, health, things that you care intimately about. If we lost everything else in life, our lives would still be ‘full’. The marbles are the other things in our lives that are important, but our happiness shouldn’t depend on them. Things like our work, our house, our car, etc. Finally, the sand represents everything else; the small stuff.

“If we were to have filled our jar up with sand first, we wouldn’t have had enough room for the marbles or the golf balls. If we use all our life and energy on the small stuff, we won’t have any room for the important things.”

After a brief moment of silence one of the students asked, “Professor, what does the beer represent?”

“Ah, I’m glad you asked,” replied the professor. “It means that no matter how full your life is, there is always room for a cup of beer with a friend.”

Hot Flashes and Goose Bumps

This is a cruel life for a woman of my age.....the hot flashes are killing me! I have never liked to sweat. I. hate. to. sweat.  So this is like Mother Nature getting back at me for something I have done to her but then she lets me get a cool sensation all over after the flashes....the little goose bumps appear and I breathe a sigh of relief from the burning within, thank you, I say to myself and to her. And then it happens all over again. Curse you Mother Nature!
